Thurban or given his true Dwarven title Udun son of Fargan, Son of Hurdin, Son of Urdan. Was born around 2864 in the 3rd Age of Middle Earth to Fargan and his wife. Although his parentage and lineage hail originally from the Lonely Mountain, it was during his parents exile in the Blue Mountains that Thurban was officially born. He was the first of 4 brothers, Thargan, Feli and Darmak.

Thurban's up bringing was fairly uneventful and he grew as most Dwarven folk do, with a liking for metals and gemstones. Battle also came naturally and Fargan being a veteran of the Wars against the Misty Mountain Goblins and Orcs was at hand too school his sons in the art of warfare.

It wasnt until the age of 77 that Thurban had his first real taste of true battle. It was during a trading expedition to the Iron Hills and the kingdom of Dain, that his father decided to offer his and the aid of his 4 sons too the Army of King Dain, the army destined for the Battle of the Five Armies and rescue of Thorin Oakenshield and his company.

It was here that Thurban came of age and it was here he lost his father and a brother to Wargs and Goblins. Fargan and Darmak both fell on the battlefied along side many brave Dwarves, Men of Dale and Wood Elves that day. With the reclamation of the Lonely Mountain from Smaug and establishment of the new Dwarven settlement there Thurban was able to bury his father and brother in their ancestorial family tombs within the mountain.

He returned too the Blue Mountains and eventually settled down and in the year 2962 on in his 98 th year Thurban finally married and in the following years his wife bore him his first of two sons and then finally a daughter. Thurban finally settled into family life and for many years was content too use his skills as a weaponsmith too keep his family clothed and fed.
